Helping Hands
I've a thought ... and I'd like your help making it happen.

I've been posting pictures of my dreamcatchers here and there on my journal. I'd like to also post items that my friend's make though. I'm not talking about a inundation of posts pimping out friend's stuff ... it's only going to be one post for one person / item a day, and maybe not even every single day. (I want to help boost the signal but I don't want to feel obligated either.) I have several other friends in mind to post a link to your online storefront here but if you know of somebody or are somebody who sells handmade things please drop me a line here.

Please feel free to repost or pass the word along about this post. The more people we have the better!

Can you describe your dream catchers when you post them? I can't always see the pics and I want to know what they look like! And things made by friends would be fun to know about!

I always forget about that since the description is on the page I link to. Hm ... I will have to really try doing that for you more often. Does text size matter on that? I'm thinking about making it a bit smaller text under the photo if possible.

Where would these posts go?

If I make a post that day it'd probably be at the end of it. I'm not looking to spam my friend's pages . :)

My site is purplemercurycat.etsy.com and another friend on here has GothicGlitter.etsy.com

This is really great of you to do. Our lists are diverse, perhaps if we all spread the love like this, we can all benefit.

Oh, happily! I wasn't sure if you were just looking to highlight friends/friends-of-friends or any good shops. :) I've found several I love so far!

Beaded Iris - Gorgeous, neat earrings.

dawnray - fairy wands and ribbon bookmarks, all inexpensive but very pretty! Great seller, too -- I put the wrong shipping address in PayPal and she's worked with me to figure out a workaround.

Susan Van Camp - I bought one of her prints at Dragon*Con a few years back and was delighted to find her store on Etsy! Incredibly cute fantasy and animal art.

MD Sparks - neat, nature-inspired jewelry.

Thank you so much for your complements! Here is a little about me and my shop:
I have had a strong interest in drawing and painting since I was a child. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin University. I specialized in Watercolor painting and have sold some of my work at college shows. I have been involved in arts and crafts of some kind all of my life. In the last few years, I have been fabricating handmade, one-of-kind jewelry using PMC, sterling silver wire, bronze clay, semi-precious stones, enamel and dichroic glass. I am President of the Greater Houston Metal Clay Guild and am a certified artisan in PMC.
